In 1994, the Farrellys showcased their talents writing and directing their first feature film, Dumb & Dumber. A commercial success, Dumb & Dumber went on to gross over $246 million worldwide and launched Jim Carrey’s career. Building off the overwhelming response to the film, Peter and Bobby continued to define comedy with There’s Something About Mary. Starring Ben Stiller, Matt Dillon and Cameron Diaz, the film has gone on to gross more than $360 million worldwide. Their catalogue of additional hits includes Kingpin; Outside Providence; Me, Myself & Irene; Shallow Hal; Stuck On You; Fever Pitch; The Heartbreak Kid and Hall Pass.
In 2012, their film, The Three Stooges, fulfilled a lifelong dream of having their childhood icons adapted for the big screen. Written and directed by the Farrellys, this long- awaited film adaptation was a contemporary take on the classic comedy trio that is filled with the original slapstick humor, Stooge sound effects, haircuts and other Stooge-isms that made them a household name.
Their latest film, Dumb & Dumber To, brought back together Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels in an original adventure for their characters Harry and Lloyd. The Farrellys continue to thrive together as well as lending their own creative visions to individual projects. Peter has published the novels Outside Providence, The Comedy Writer, and the children’s book, Abigail the Happy Whale. He is a graduate of Providence College and the Master’s creative writing program at Columbia University. Peter is currently working on the TV Show entitled Loudermilk which will air on The Audience Network.
Bobby received an Emmy® nomination for The Lost Son of Havana, a documentary about the compelling journey of baseball great Luis Tiant. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute while tending goal for their hockey team. Bobby currently developing several comedy screenplays and is Executive Producing an independent comedy, LezBomb, due out later this year
