Join the ERC every third Tuesday and Wednesday of the month at 6:00pm for an Environmental Book Series. Participants have the option of meeting on Tuesdays in Ketchum at the ERC Office (471 Washington Ave) or on Wednesdays in Hailey at the Wood River Sustainability Center (308 S. River Street).
Each month, participants will read a contemporary book on a selected environmental topic that both inspires them and provides them with the tools necessary to make positive change in our community and beyond. Hadley DeBree of the ERC will then facilitate an interactive discussion of the book at both locations. This series is free and open to the public and participants are welcome to drop in each month.
In April, Mary Ellen Hannibal’s “Citizen Scientist: Searching for Heroes and Hope in the Age of Extinction” will look at how everyday people are working to slow mass extinction through citizen science.
