Starry Night Art Show to Benefit NAMIIn recognition of Mental Health Awareness month in May, NAMI-WRV is organizing a 2-part event that includes mental health education, and art therapy. Local artists are invited to create their own versions of Vincent van Gogh’s painting, Starry Night. It is well known, that Vincent van Gogh had a mental illness and the painting “depicts the view from the east-facing window of his asylum room.” In spite of his mental health challenges, he was able to create beauty that continues to inspire.
